In our last blog post, we showed the differences between Google’s new beta Google+ listings and the "Classic" Google+ format. The most concerning difference was the absence of reviews or the option to leave reviews for businesses on Google+. This difference deeply concerned many companies that had worked hard to get great reviews on Google. Recently, a statement was made by a Google representative that stated:
Like the colors of a chameleon, Google is an ever-changing company, and they are at it again! Recently, Google introduced the public to the new look and dynamic of its Google+ listings. When people think of their reputation, often times they think of consumer reviews that have been posted to popular directories like Facebook, Yelp and Google+ etc. Business owners are right to think these directories will impact their reputation but you’re online credibility is more than this. When you think of your reputation, think of every way your company impacts the community it serves. One important component that is often overlooked is the message being spread by former and current employees of your enterprise.
